Reach for the Stars!

Small Art for the Faint of Heart
A 12 month eCourse of Self-Discovery + Mini Mixed-Media Masterpieces!

A long time ago, I discovered astrology as a way of learning about myself and the significant others in my life. I'm not an expert in Astrology by any means. I don't use it to try to predict the future or pick lottery numbers or anything. It does entertain me and often, it enlightens me.

I thought it would be cool to combine my interest in astrology with my love of small art! So I did!

What's small about the art? The size, silly! Oh, and the expectations, the time commitment and the overall cash investment! We'll be making small things that you can finish in an hour or so.

What's big, I hope, is what you'll learn about yourself and the others in your life. Oh, and of course, about how much fun it can be to make small works of art!

So, be not faint of heart, my friends! Join me on this artistic journey into yourself!

I am thrilled to be able to provide a link to the "textbook" that I would like you to use. I just found it in full, online, for free! It is called Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, and is my number one favourite astrology book!!!

What’s the format of the eCourse?
At the beginning of each month, you’ll receive that month's class in your email! Each class will include a mission, step by step instructions with photos, templates, art, words and quotes to use and a mini zine devoted to that month's Sun SIgn! Each project is small, which means that it won't take too long to finish. You have a whole month to play with it, then take a photo and post it in our Discussion Group. You'll love the fun projects and the light hearted look at astrology! We'll even throw in some Tarot and other interesting philosophies!

Halfway through each month, we'll have a giveaway with great prizes from a different sponsor, including Rings & Things, Winged Heart Studio, HHH Enterprises, The Beadin Path and Mori Cupcake, to name a few!

What do I need to participate?
Technical requirements:
  1. A computer, internet access, ability to view PDFs and print out templates. If you can't print stuff out, I will always try to give you the measurements to draw your own templates.
  2. A digital camera or scanner to share your finished Small Art projects would be lovely, if possible.
Mixed Media Supplies:
  1. We’ll be doing lots of art that involve pictures of you and your significant others, so round some of those up. 2. Various types of paper, like old phone books, junk mail, wrapping paper, cardstock, cereal box cardboard, etc
  3. Magazines for images and backgrounds
  4. Markers, gel pens, paint, alcohol inks, things that colour other things, stamp ink pads.
