At the beginning of each month, you’ll receive an e-mail with that month’s Small Art assignment. It will include step by step photos, clear instructions, templates, images, word art, journal prompts and links to help you make your Small Art project and get to know more about yourself. Each project is small, which means that it won't take too long to finish. You have a whole month to play with it, then take a photo and post it.
What do I need to participate?
Technical requirements:
- A computer, internet access, ability to view PDFs and print out templates. If you can't print stuff out, I will always give you the measurements to draw your own templates.
- A digital camera or scanner to share your finished Small Art projects would be lovely.
- We’ll be doing lots of art that involve pictures of you and your significant others, so round some of those up. They don't have to be great. You can make a collage in Picasa, with all your significant others faces! It's a free download from Google, and enables you to do some basic, but cool photo editing!
- Various types of paper, like old phone books, junk mail, wrapping paper, cardstock or even brand new from your stash!
- Magazines for collage elements
- Markers, gel pens, paint, alcohol inks, things that colour other things, stamp ink pads.
- Scissors
- Adhesives like gluesticks, tape runners, double sided tape. Whatever you want!
